I almost forgot to introduce myself!
I'm Erica Jansen, founder of Hearing Habits.
I'm 34 years old and have been a hearing aid wearer for 11 years.
My hearing loss is sensorineural, mild-to-moderate, and noise induced.
I work as a Creative Producer at a local TV station.
I'm an MBA student at the University of St. Thomas.
Before the pandemic, I was a roller derby player. My derby name is Double Derica. I hope I look this cool again in my life!
I know I have hearing loss considering that my favorite hobby puts a snare drum that I strike with full force about two feet from my right ear. This site is very helpful and has given me a new awareness of habits I need to change and need to change them now!
